4. I did not know that I should activate my Hypptunes account for Cool Uni Pack/Gradpack and have created an account on Hypptunes on my own. What should I do?
Please email your name, IC number, streamyx ID and preferred email to vas.support@streamyx.com. You can also email to this address for any matters regarding the Streamyx Cool Uni Pack and Gradpack packages.

5. Can I view the Hypptunes website without signing up?
Yes. Viewing is absolutely free. However, you will need to sign up to download and upload songs on our website.

6. Can I re-register once I have already registered?
No. You can only register once.

7. I have forgotten my password. What do I do?
Just click on the Lost Password button on the main page. We will send a new temporary password to your email.

8. How do I download songs from Hypptunes?
First of all, if you are not yet a member of Hypptunes, you are required to Sign Up. Upon successful registration, click on Store to begin your purchase.

9. How much does a song cost at Hypptunes?
Each song is priced at RM 3.

10. How do I make my payments for the song downloads?

11. What are the minimum specs to download songs?
You will need the following for downloading and playing music from Hypptunes:

On a PC:

• Speakers or headphones and an installed sound card
• Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP
  
• Any Internet browser such as Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
• Music player software (such as WinAmp or Windows Media Player)
  (If you have purchased WMA music files, you must have the latest version of Windows Media Player installed. You can get it here)

MAC users:

• Speakers or headphones and an installed sound card
• MAC OS 9.x or OSX (preferably OSX)

13. Can I preview the songs before downloading them?
Of course. There is a preview button for every song.

14. What are the file formats of the songs?
WMA DRM/without DRM & MP3.

15. What is DRM?
Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a protective software that restricts how many times a music file can be burnt onto a CD/ Minidisc/ DVD/ memory card and the number of devices (additional computers, digital music players, mobile phones etc) it can be transferred to. WMA (DRM protected) files bought from Hypptunes/Bimbit are limited to 5 burns and/or 5 devices.

We only use DRM when stipulated by record labels. How we sell their music is down to the record labels and artists. Many of our tracks do not have it. DRM restrictions may vary depending on which label owns the music.

16. Can I still save the downloaded songs when the memory on my computer is full?
It is recommended that you have some free space before you start the download. The same song can be downloaded up to 3 times without using additional points.

17. My download did not finish, what should I do?
You can download the same song for up to 3 times. Just click on ‘My Account’ and select ‘History’. Then, click on the download button of the song you wish to re-download. After clicking the download button, make sure you choose 'Save' to save the file to your hard drive, as trying to open the file before downloading it will cause it to fail.

18. Why isn’t there a download button for some songs in my download page?
This means that these songs have been downloaded 3 times and cannot be downloaded anymore.

19. How come there are songs without the 'redeem' button?
Songs without the 'redeem' button means that they are not a part of the Streamyx Cool Uni Pack/Gradpack free song redemptions program. These songs are parked under certain music labels that are not signed with us to participate in this program.

20. I have registered but I am not able to download. Why is that?
You need to make sure you have activated your Hypptunes account by clicking on the activation link sent to your email after submitting your registration form. Then, sign in with the correct username and password. If you face any problem getting the activation link or with purchasing and downloading songs, please email your issue to contact@hypptunes.com.my

21. Can the downloaded songs be played on any kind of music player?
Hypptunes sells songs in both MP3s and WMAs (with and without DRM protected) formats. You can download MP3s which can be used with any digital music player be it an iPod, Creative Zen, Sony Walkman or whatever. MP3s can be used on any device.

Some songs in Hypptunes are in WMA (DRM protected) files. This is because the major record labels prefer to give us their music in that format. These WMA (DRM protected) files cannot be used on iPods and Sony Walkman but can be used on certain Creative Zen, iRiver, Samsung, Rio or Archos players.

In conclusion, if your MP3 player is made by:

iRiver, Creative, Samsung, Rio, Archos
• You can play any files on Hypptunes, both WMA and MP3 files.

Sony Walkman
• You should buy MP3 files on Hypptunes

iPod, iPod Mini, iPod Nano or other Apple hardware
• You should buy MP3 files on Hypptunes

22. Why won’t WMA files play on my device?
Firstly, check that your device supports protected WMA files. You should check your device's manual to see if your device is listed as a 'PlaysForSure' device. If your device does support protected WMA files, then you need to make sure you are using the latest version of 'Microsoft Windows Media Player' (version 10). Windows Media Player version 9 will play our protected WMA's but it will not allow for CD burning or device transfer. All other versions before this will not support the files at all.

23. If I do not have a computer, is there any other way I can download the songs?
You can also download songs from the same portal at hypptunes.bimbit.com by logging onto the site with your phone browser. Please note that the downloads depend on the availability of 3G/GPRS/WiFi/WiMAX of service providers. When downloading songs using mobile phones via 3G/GPRS, you will have to pay for the data-rate charged by each operator. When downloading songs using mobile phones via WiFi/Broadband/WiMAX, you will have to pay for Internet Access fees charged by the service providers.

24. Why does my browser block the download content every time I start downloading?
To download from the website, check that your security setting on the browser is set to Medium-Low or lower.
Additional Notes:

• Downloading songs at public wifi and hotspots tend to be slower and take a longer time to complete
• Downloading songs via mobile operator-networks will incur heavy data-charges unless you have an unlimited data-plan

25. How do I enable cookies?
To enable cookies, follow the instructions below for the browser version you are using.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
• Click on Tools on the menu bar.
• Click on Internet Options item in the menu - a new window opens.
• Click the Privacy tab and then click the Advanced button.
• Click on the Advanced button - another window opens: Advanced Privacy Settings.
• Tick the Override Automatic Cookie Handling. There will be two columns; First-party Cookies & Third-party Cookies. Tick Accept both parties cookies.
• Save changes by clicking 'OK' in each window.

Mozilla Firefox
• Click on Tools on the menu bar.
• Click on Options.
• Select the Privacy icon displayed on the panel.
• It will show "History - Firefox will: ___" and a selection box. Select "Used custom settings for history" in the selection box.
• Now, more options will be displayed. Tick on the box that says "Accept third-party cookies". Save changes by clicking 'OK'.

26. I am a songwriter and I wish to upload and sell my songs on Hypptunes. How do I do that?
First of all, you will need to sign up with Hypptunes. Then, click Upload on the menu bar and simply read and follow the steps given.

27. I am an independent artist/designer/photographer/gig organizer, etc and I am interested to be featured or to feature my work on Hypptunes. How do I do that?
We welcome all individuals from the local and regional independent music scene to showcase their crafts and be a part of the Hypptunes family. So just email us your profile/gigs at contact@hypptunes.com.my and we’ll be happy to show you off!
